Throughout my career, I have been privileged to meet and interact with people from different backgrounds from around the world, with diverse experiences, ideas and opinions.
Thanks to these opportunities, I now have an extensive network of friends, colleagues, peers, mentors and mentees who have helped me grow and who I will strive to stay connected with.
This network helped me feel engaged within the organization I worked for and part of something bigger than “the job I was hired to do”.
These connections also proved to be a catalyst for my personal development: they broadened my perspectives, allowed me to navigate cultural differences, introduced me to top talents, challenged me, fostered brilliant ideas, kept me informed of what was happening outside my position and helped me evolve as a person.
As I said, I was privileged. I soon discovered that activity silos, location, seniority, loss of serendipity or general lack of opportunities mean that many people within organizations or groups don’t get that same chance.
Beyond Boundaries was created to give everyone the opportunities I had, regardless of where they work in the world, what department they work for, what level they are at in an organization and how new they are.
